Kenneth
J. Grosso - Chief Executive Officer
Kenneth is a co-founder of Powered by Professionals and currently
serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the company. He is
charged with the responsibility of the overall marketing and
vision of the company as well as heading up volunteer acquisition
and retention for clients.
Kenneth has a very unique combination of business
and management skills with areas of expertise in finance,
sales/marketing, personal and executive coaching, public speaking,
new media, direct marketing, technology, and charitable, social
and corporate event planning/promotion.
Kenneth began his professional career in 1992 as a Certified
Public Accountant at KPMG. He worked as an assurance manager
and consultant in the information, communications and entertainment
practice. He was responsible for managing the engagement teams
of Fortune 500 clients such as Reader's Digest Association,
NBC (GE) and Pepsi Cola International (PepsiCo) as well as
over a dozen Internet companies.
Concurrently with his position at KPMG, Kenneth founded an
event/promotions company named Zonk Productions where he planned
events at various venues throughout New York City for audiences
of 50 to 2,600.
In August 1997, Kenneth joined a start-up Internet company
named Promotions.com, (formerly know as Netstakes) as its
fifth employee in the capacity of head of sales. In his first
three years he built, trained and managed a sales force of
over seventy people in four cities across the United States
and increased revenue from $40,000 to $27 million. He was
also instrumental in the company's successful IPO in September
1999, which raised over $50 million. In September 2000, Kenneth
was promoted to President of the Webstakes.com division and
in late 2001, he decided to leave the company in order to
launch Powered by Professionals.
Kenneth earned a business degree from Pace University and
has been active in many charitable organizations and fundraising
efforts over the past fifteen years and has been responsible
for raising millions of dollars for organizations such as
Pace University Alumni Association, Leukemia Society of America,
Junior Achievement, The Tomorrow's Children Fund, Big Brothers
Big Sisters, The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and Delta Kappa
Epsilon.
He serves on numerous advisory boards and committees for businesses
and charities throughout the tri-state area including the
advising committee for the New York City Disability Mentoring
Day. He consults many individual business owners and speaks
around the world on topics such as entrepreneurship, networking,
goal setting and master-mind groups. Kenneth is an avid sports
fan and competitor and participates in several sports leagues
and has competed in several marathons throughout the country.
Ken currently resides in New York City with his wife Tiffany
and dog Fezziwig where they are awaiting a baby boy scheduled
