2019 Brainup's 4th Annual 5k Run/Walk

BrainUp is dedicated to raising awareness brain cancer by activating community involvement and engagement through fundraising events. BrainUp works endlessly with patients, families, physicians and research professionals, in hopes of finding a cure and in efforts to instill hope in those affected by the disease. BrainUp partnered with PBP to raise greater awareness of brain cancer, expand their volunteer and donor base, and establish a Board of Directors.

Since our partnership with BrainUp four seasons ago, PBP has executed events in both Chicago and New York. This past October, PBP was thrilled to once again join BrainUp for their 4th Annual 5/K Awareness Run/Walk at Maggie Daley Park in Chicago. This was the biggest event BrainUp has had to date, almost doubling the previous year's amount raised. Jackie Bange from WGN MCed the event and the station's attendance put the race on the news! PBP lead the way by organizing logistics, on-site local staff and volunteer recruitment, and administered "Team Challenges" online fundraising and event registration using the latest event planning technologies. Over the past four years, PBP has helped BrainUp raise over $700,000. Throughout PBP's collaboration with BrainUp, we have implemented strategic fundraising methods, secured event honorees and award recipients along with corporate and individual sponsorships.
