COVID-19

We hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe during this unprecedented health crisis. We at Powered by Professionals know times are difficult in varying ways for everyone right now, and we want to make sure you know we are here to help.

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact our communities, non-profit organizations are facing unparalleled challenges.  Together with our clients, we are taking all measures necessary during these unexpected times.

Powered by Professionals would like to keep you up-to-date and share with you how we have been responding to this health crisis:

  • Since many of our clients work with immunocompromised individuals, and per the directions of the CDC we have been taking social distancing recommendations very seriously since early March, including rescheduling all in-person meetings to virtual Zoom calls.
  • We have been in contact with all our event venues and event leadership teams to make the determination to postpone all of our spring events to new fall dates.
  • As we move closer to fall event dates, we will decide whether to make each event virtual on a case-by-case basis, as the government dictates.
  • We are closely monitoring the developing situation and remain committed to supporting all of our clients throughout these new circumstances.
  • We are reaching out to our clients’ leadership and donors and committed volunteers to check in and make sure they’re well and navigating the current climate as well as can be expected.

Although we are all focused on COVID-19 right now as we should be, other illnesses and diseases are not disappearing; people are still being diagnosed every day with health issues. Please remember, donors give to you because your mission resonates with them personally. Current events will not change that. Their timing of gifts might shift, but their commitment to your mission will not.

We know that there is a lot of information out there for nonprofits and we are hoping to cut through some of that noise by providing a list of resources we have come across that we have found useful for our clients. PBP Volunteer Initiative

We have put together a volunteer initiative to help make connections with one another during this time of forced isolation. Volunteers can sign up to send a caring card, become a pen pal with someone who might be alone during these times, and/or send cards to medical professionals thanking them for their hard work.
