Marjorie Segarra Rejincos

Kristen Irizarry is an Event Coordinator at Powered by Professionals, where she supports the planning and execution of high-impact nonprofit fundraising events across New York City. Since joining the team in December 2025, she has contributed to producing meaningful experiences that bring people together, elevate important causes, and leave a lasting impression.

Originally from Long Island, Kristen graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Fashion Business Management. She began her career in the fashion industry, building a strong foundation in merchandising and e-commerce through roles at INTERMIX, Walmart, and Macy's. During this time, she developed expertise in managing logistics, data analysis, and cultivating a detail-oriented and results-driven approach.

After several years in fashion, Kristen realized she wanted to pursue a more purpose-driven path aligned with her passion for creativity, organization, and community impact. She began volunteering with Powered by Professionals, supporting a range of nonprofit events over the course of eight months. Through this hands-on experience, she discovered a passion for event planning, quickly became an integral part of the team, and ultimately transitioned into her current role—officially launching her career in the events industry.

At PBP, Kristen supports the coordination of complex event logistics, collaborates with clients and vendors, and helps execute thoughtfully designed experiences that drive engagement and fundraising success. She brings a unique blend of creative thinking, operational precision, and a genuine enthusiasm for mission-driven work.
