David is the Director of Marketing & Events at Powered by Professionals and joined our team in September 2018. In addition to ten years of experience planning non-profit galas, cultivation dinners, cocktail receptions and corporate activations, David has five years of experience of in-house non-profit management and seven years of experience in non-profit and Fortune 500 corporate social responsibility public relations and marketing experience.


Prior to joining PBP, David was Deputy Executive Director and Director of Events and National Growth at the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect (AFC). At AFC, David oversaw all aspects of the organizations from development and operations to communications and programming. While there, David produced multiple cultivation events and galas, including numerous events surrounding the 70th anniversary of the publication of Anne Frank’s Diary, which included the dedication of a sapling from the Anne Frank Tree in Amsterdam with foreign dignitaries and NYC officials, a star-studded gala at the top of the World Trade Center and several programmatic events at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas. David also produced, scripted and directed a 70th Anniversary video starring Meryl Streep.


For numerous years, David served as Vice President and Partner at King + Company, a full service public relations and integrated marketing agency where he was responsible for developing and implementing media strategy plans, producing public-facing events, providing public relations counsel and ensuring ongoing press coverage for the firm’s Healthcare, Foundations + The Life Sciences accounts. His clients included amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, The Estēe Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Hudson River Park Trust, Friends of Hudson River Park, Worldwide Orphans Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, the Arby’s Foundation, and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, among many others.


Before joining King + Company, David was the Deputy Executive Director for Advocacy and Events at Garden State Equality. His responsibilities included pitching stories, organizing volunteers, lobbying elected issues, producing special events and serving as the representative of the organization at numerous conferences and summits. He played a leading role in the enactment of dozens of civil rights laws, including marriage equality and helped to grow Garden State Equality into New Jersey’s largest LGBT advocacy organization.
