Case Study: Sarcoma Foundation of America

2019 Stand Up to Sarcoma 17th Annual Fundraiser

The Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA) was founded in 2002 to advocate for sarcoma patients by funding research and by increasing awareness about the disease. Originally, SFA turned to PBP with the hopes that we could continue to surpass their fundraising goals, expand the Sarcoma volunteer base and further raise awareness of SFA's mission. Their annual Stand Up to Sarcoma gala celebrates patients, survivors, and those who have dedicated their livings to treating Sarcoma. This event is SFA's largest annual fundraiser that PBP has continued to expand over our 12-year partnership.

The MDS Foundation held their first Run/Walk in Chicago this June which raised over $100,000 as a first-year event.  The MDS Foundation also held their Second Annual Walk in Boston, which raised over $165,000, doubling their fundraising total from the previous year. Thanks to the Massachusetts General Hospital Blood Donor Center, people were also able to donate blood at the event. The events saw a combined total of over 650 participants, which will be increasing in 2020 when the MDS Foundation expands their run/walk series to New York and Nashville!
